We're Having a Baby!

Yes, we're having a baby...or a peanut, which is kind of what it looks like in the ultra-sound picture! Okay, so we know you can't really "see" the baby right now and we can't tell you where the head is or which end is the bottom, but it's definitely our baby and we are so excited to share this news with you. As most of you know, Jadee and I experienced two losses in less than 7 months this year (an ectopic pregnancy in January and a miscarriage in August) so needless to say, we didn't waste any time trying again. Things are looking really good so far...especially since we have heard the heart beat already at a strong, 149 beats per minute. Hearing the heart beat puts our risk of miscarriage to a chance of less than 2%, so that is wonderful news.

Other than that, I am very nauseous and not sleeping well due to the numerous trips to the bathroom. My belly is growing rapidly with this being my third child. It really is almost embarrassing that people were asking me if I was pregnant before we were ready to tell. It's doing even more for my ego when people ask me how far along I am and when I tell them, they respond by telling me they thought I was A LOT farther than that. Oh, well...I am LOVING every minute of it! Jadee is being a very supportive husband, doing much of the cleaning and cooking while I sleep or am too sick to do anything. Alexis and Logan are totally thrilled and can't wait for the baby to arrive. They are already arguing about whether it's going to be a boy or a girl. Of course, they can't agree but neither can Jadee or I.
