What was supposed to be a restful and relaxing weekend for this pregnant mommy turned out to be a very crazy and busy weekend. Since the week had been filled with Alexis's dance recital, a doctor appointment, a daycare interview, and Logan's spring concert I was ready to put my feet up. Instead, Jadee spent Friday into Saturday morning traveling to Atlanta, GA by air and back home by wheels. We purchased a new vehicle and found the best deal ever via the internet. It was kind of scary and exciting at the same time, but we couldn't have hoped for a better experience. We are now the happy owners of a Dodge Durango, as we needed more space with the baby coming.
My mom spent Friday night and Saturday with me and the kids while Jadee was gone. We shopped, went out to eat, went for breakfast the next day, and treated ourselves to pedicures and manicures. It was a great time and I always love spending time with my mom. Saturday evening, Jadee and I went out with friends and enjoyed some quality time together and with the King's. Sunday, we went to the cities to visit the Maciej's and to pick up Jadee's truck. Today (Monday), we spent the day cleaning the house and doing some projects. I think we are finally feeling ready for this baby to come...at least I am. Hopefully all the work I did today will keep the contractions coming. I'm only hoping this false labor will become real very soon.
Well, although the weekend ended up being busy, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was beautiful, we accomplished a lot, and we got to spend time with friends and family. Sometimes the least expected turn of events make the best weekends.
Have a great week!
