Bath Time

Jace's first bath

All clean!

Okay, so yesterday was my first day by myself with all three kids...and with just being home from the hospital for only 4 days, exhaustion was setting in. Trying to be "super mom," however, I decided to give Jace his first bath between feedings and while lunch was in the oven. Yeah, don't ever do that.

Thinking I could accomplish this in about 30 minutes, Jace did not really like his bath so it took a little longer than expected. Before I knew it, the timer was going off on the oven and Jace decided it would be a great time to poop while he was still in the tub. Needless to say, he needed another bath and the kids' chicken tenders were a little on the dry side.

Today was a little better, but Jace did give me a refresher course on changing a baby boy's diaper. I had been taking advantage of the fact that he hadn't peed in mid-air yet, but today he reminded me of the necessity to always have a towel on hand. So funny!

On another note, Jace's hospital visit went well yesterday. He is starting to gain some weight back and his bilirubin count has come down to an acceptable level. He is still a little yellow around his eyes, but we no longer have to lay him under the lights. Yeah! We spent the entire day today cuddling in bed or on the couch.
