First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for Alexis and Logan. Alexis is in 3rd grade this year and Logan started kindergarten. Wow, it was so much easier sending the second one off to school! Like his big sister, he was ready to go and couldn't wait for us to leave the parking lot. After a few pictures, he jumped in line with his classmates, waved good-bye, and was on his way.

After dropping the kids off at school, I enjoyed a coffee and a few hours at the mall with a friend and her baby girl. We both have 3 kids, all the same ages, and we both sent little ones off to kindergarten this morning so thought it would be fun to get together afterward. What a great start to the school year (and my maternity leave)!
