Jace: 4 Months

Jace turned 4 months old on October 8th.  At 4 months he is reaching and picking up toys, rolling from back to tummy, eating every 3-4 hours, sleeping through the night (mostly), crying when I leave the room, and smiling when I return.  He continues to hold his hands together across his chest, play with his fingers, suck on his hands, and curl in his feet and toes.  I will miss it when he no longer does these things, just because these are the last few things a newborn does.  He is getting so big!

We recently introduced the mega saucer and he loves it.  We also introduced cereal this month and he is liking it more every day.  Since I will be returning to work in just 3 weeks, we are working on scheduled nap times and feedings.  I am having much anxiety about returning to work and leaving Jace at daycare.  You would think it would be easier with the third child, however, I am finding it to be more difficult.  Sadly, a baby died last week from SIDS...here in town and while attending her first day of daycare.  My heart breaks for that family and for the caregiver.

Well, Jace had his 4-month well-check today and here are the stats.  I am going to wait a few more days to do his "official" 4-month pictures, just because he still has a bit of a rash left on his face and body.  Here are a few snapshots and a video that I recorded recently with my point and shoot camera, however.

Weight: 17 pounds (87th percentile)
Height: 26 inches (86th percentile)
Head: 42.2 cm (50th percentile)

Jace still like to curl his feet and toes inward.
Poor baby got more shots today...here he is showing off his cool camo bandaid.
Jace loves the mega saucer!
He loves to play with his toys.
