Tubes

Hmmm, let's see...Jace got his first infection over MEA in mid-October. Just 4 weeks later at Thanksgiving time, he got his second infection. He got his third infection on Christmas Eve while we were in Worthington. Are you seeing the patten here? He tends to get sick around the holidays. So my prediction was that he would get his fourth infection on Martin Luther King Day and guess what...I was RIGHT!

Yup, we had a visit with the ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Specialist that Monday to see whether or not he was a candidate for tubes. As soon as she saw he had double ear infection (again), she scheduled him for surgery right away. I took the day off and Jace had his surgery just two days later on Wednesday. We were up and out the door by 5:30 that morning, he had his surgery at 7:15, and he was back in the room with me by 7:45. Recovery was a little rough for him because he was already sick going into the surgery, but we were back home shortly after 9:00 in the morning and he slept much of the afternoon.

We are so thankful everything went well...and we are hopeful that he will be healthier now. He is still battling a terrible cold and croup, but he is happy as usual!
