At 9 months old, Jace is crawling well (and fast), pulling himself up onto his knees, waving bye-bye (8 1/2 months), and clapping (8 3/4 months). Since learning to wave, he is eager to wave at everyone and everything. It's is so darn cute! He also loves to clap when we say "Yeah Jace!" and play "So big!" and "Peek-A-Boo!" He still has just two teeth, but it seems his top teeth have been trying to come through for the last two months. Jace is anxious to eat finger foods, as he loves his rice puffs and cheese. We are slowly introducing such food items because quite honestly, I like the convenience of jarred baby food. He is still a good sleeper, taking 2 naps per day and sleeping from 8 p.m to 7 a.m. through the night. His left ear continues to give him trouble, but he much happier now that he is over his cold and the pain of his ear infection. Jace's new best friend is Annie, our recently adopted American Bull Dog. He loves to follow her, share his meals with her, tug on her ears, and chase her tail. Luckily, Annie is very tolerant...I think she thinks of Jace as one of her puppies since she just had puppies 12 weeks ago. We feel so very blessed to have such a happy and adorable baby boy...we all love Jace so much!
9-Month Stats
Height: 27 3/4 inches (34th percentile)
Weight: 19 pounds, 10 ounces (36th percentile)
Head: 44.6 centimeters (31st percentile)
As you can see from his stats above, Jace is no longer our chubby boy! Funny how he started out so big and now he is on the "smaller" end of the average range. To compare, all three of our kids have followed that same growth curve.
