16 Weeks

It's been awhile since I announced the news, so I am very overdue for this blog entry.  I have been so busy ending the season with high school seniors and keeping up with the holiday rush of family photos that some days I forget we are expecting again.  It's definitely different with baby #4!  All the waiting, excitement, and anticipation of Jace's arrival consumed my every thought...I suppose it was because we waited a long time for him.  Baby #4 is definitely our "surprise" and we are thrilled to welcome another little one into our family but for now I am content with being just 16 weeks, as I know 40 weeks will come soon enough and then life will be VERY busy!  I admit that I am still adjusting to the thought and nervous about the changes to come.  We have many, many decisions to make...

Other than that, Logan has started hockey and Alexis continues with dance.  Both are so much fun to watch!  We recently attended their parent-teacher conferences and were thrilled to hear they are doing well.  Alexis loves to read and Logan is really picking up on math.  It's obvious Alexis takes after me and Logan after his dad.  They are both chatterboxes too...imagine that!  Jace is almost 18 months and talking more and more everyday.  Most things we can understand (or figure out), but there are a few words that have us stumped.  He loves to be outdoors and on the go, but he is also content to play indoors.  Lately, we have noticed him "playing" with his brother and sister by copying them and doing things to make them laugh.  He also loves to be with them in their rooms downstairs, which is good because Jace will be sharing a bunk with Logan when baby comes.  Jace finally has all of his teeth for awhile now too! 

The kids and I are now on Thanksgiving break (Tuesday through Friday).  I am so glad to have some time to relax, although, I do have MANY pictures yet to edit.  Hopefully, I will get caught up and find some time for fun and rest.  Wednesday, the kids and I are going to start decorating for Christmas and bring the tree up so we can trim it when Jadee gets home from work.  Yeah!  My favorite time of year!
