Hospital Stay

The rest of our hospital stay was filled with visitors and lots of time to rest.  Jadee worked some on Thursday and so Harper and I had some alone time to snuggle all morning and then my mom spent the afternoon with us.  Many good friends also stopped to visit...but unfortunately, I got lazy with my camera and missed taking pictures of everyone.  Darn!  Thank you everyone who visited, called, and sent messages.  We have the best of friends!!!

Andrea and her daughter Autumn came to visit.
Sweet Autumn.

Jace also came on Thursday for his first visit and to meet his baby sister.  Contrary to the pictures below...things did not go very well.  He was confused when he arrived in my room and there was no baby there.  The nurse had taken Harper for some testing (PKU and hearing) and hadn't brought her back yet.  When Jadee left to go get her from the nursery, Jace managed to open my hospital room door and he took off running down the hall.  I had to chase him...which was a bit painful and embarrassing to say the least.  When I caught him, he screamed all the way back to my room.  I was a little bit sad knowing how much Harper would change his world.  It was clear that Jace was no longer the baby and it didn't take him long to figure that out :(  Jace did give her a few kisses and also tried to share his cup with her before leaving.  It was a little bit heart breaking for me when he left that night.

My niece, Emma with Harper.  This is the difference between boys and girls...and the ages of 2 and 3.  This is exactly how Alexis was with her baby brother when Logan was born...I am hopeful that Jace will come around sooner than later.
My sister, Amanda, and Emma with Harper.  My sister is also pregnant and due early August.

We came home on Friday, late morning.  Harper and I enjoyed some more snuggle time until Jadee arrived to pick us up.  Although my hospital stay was great, I couldn't wait to get home.  Harper was less than thrilled to get dressed and packed up.  She was also not fond of her first ride in the car seat.

Home sweet home.  Thanks mom for the lovely flowers!
