1 Month Old

Harper turned one month old on June 4th.  She has grown so much already and is now beginning to fill out her 0-3 month clothing.  It always saddens me a little because the "newborn" stage goes waaaayyyy too fast!  It's always so difficult to remember those first weeks home from the hospital...because I am pretty sure that with each baby I made it through the majority of days changing diapers and making it through feedings with just one eye open due to exhaustion and lack of sleep ;)

Well at one month, Harper continues to follow the typical newborn routine of eating, sleeping, and pooping (not necessarily in that order).  I read that newborns sleep anywhere from 11 to 23 hours per day and I am pretty sure that Harper sleeps at least 22-23 hours per day.  Definitely not complaining.  When Harper is awake, however, she isn't the most content baby...and she definitely isn't my easiest.  She loves to snuggle and she loves her mommy, which means I pretty much get nothing done.  And whenever I am holding her, she is pretty much eating or sleeping.  She does take two long naps in her crib (2-3 hours each) during the day and during the night she is sleeping from 11-4:30 and then again from 5-7:30 or 8.  It's when I put her down during those cat naps or when she is awake that she wails for me to pick her up again...and whenever she is in her carseat or riding in her stroller.  Thank goodness for my Moby wrap!!!

Here is one of my favorite images from her brief 1-month photo session.  Thank you Andrea for the stickers...love them!!!
