24 Weeks

I am 24 weeks today with just 3.5 months to go. Although I am sure the next few months will go rather quickly, words cannot describe how anxious I am to meet this little one. The baby's kicks and movements are getting stronger every day and I love seeing my belly change shape as the baby changes positions.

In a couple of weeks we will be going to the cities for a 3-D/4-D ultra-sound. We have decided to have this elective procedure done in hopes of getting a more accurate prediction of the baby's gender. I'm certain we are having a boy, but "maybe" just isn't a good enough answer for this planner.

Come March, we will be moving Alexis's bedroom downstairs so we can begin working on the nursery. Depending on the gender, we will either be leaving the room pink or painting it vintage blue. I am excited to decorate a "gender specific" nursery for the first time. I have some fun ideas and am excited to get started.

It's amazing to me that we will soon be adding another member to our family...either a boy that's not Logan or a girl that's not Alexis. I guess between our first two, I naturally expected them to be entirely different. Since we have one of each, it will interesting to see if this baby is similar to one or the other or different all together.

Alexis and Logan were such easy babies...very predictable, not colicky, easily comforted, great sleepers and good nappers, and very good eaters. I'm hoping it's possible to have another just like them. I guess we'll see soon enough!

Also note that I am enjoying my camera VERY much! Although I continue to work on my photography skills, which I have had very little time for lately, it's fun to be able to take my own pictures...of course with some help from my wonderful husband when I am the one being photographed.
